About fifteen years ago, I started buying products from La Boucherie, before they were in the grocery stores, since my wife knew the owners. Every Christmas I buy a couple of cases of their stuffed pork tenderloins as gifts for the employees of the division that I supervise. We also love their stuffed chicken, which is really good. They’re now in HEB and Kroger’s and other various grocery stores. I’ve had them ship something once, other times I’ve picked it up myself, it’s all been really easy. I’m very satisfied with the quality and service from La Boucherie and will use them for years to come.

I also buy their products and give it to my customers as I’m in the oil field business. I have also had their products shipped to customers over the years and I’ve never had a complaint in 22 years.

I’ve ordered product from La Boucherie for my company to give to our customers for Christmas such as their variety package which runs about $400, and has a little bit of everything in it. Personally I’ve also purchased everything: Turducken, stuffed pork loins, the jalapeno poppers and their incredible sausage that’s made of crawfish and pork. I’m not too far from their office so I can pop in and get stuff easily. It is really excellent food!

I love the bacon wrapped pork tenderloins, smothered corn, jumbo, creamed spinach, and so much more. They also have great stuffed pork chops. For the holidays I buy a lot of their foods as gifts for my father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, and others. It is great food and I have referred many friends to try it out.
I’ve been purchasing chickens from La Boucherie for years and could not give them a high enough review. We live near a little meat market in Bellville, Texas that has carried their foods for years. I also called La Boucherie direct and found out that they offer overnight shipping on their foods too. Then I decided to send them to North Carolina to my mom and love that they are still frozen hard when they get there. For five years I’ve been shipping with them and with it being a poultry product, it is highly significant they arrive frozen solid! Their service is excellent, they are friendly, their products are always delicious, and again, I can’t rate them high enough. I love everything from their stuffed chickens to many of their side dishes.
Was surprised to find your products at Albertsons in Lafayette. Took a boudin stuffed pork tenderloin to our family Thanksgiving in Florida. It was a huge hit!! Very tasty and tender. Excellent!

We only recently realized the main restaurant was in Houston, only a few miles from our other home. Guess I know where I’ll be going next time in town. This really is eating at its finest. My poor husband keeps asking when I’m going to cook one, I keep telling him – no more than ONE a week! We have to make sure we have plenty on hand until our next visit. Maybe I can just order them online and make his year! We’ll have to wait for room in the freezer, there are 6 in there right now. Can’t wait…

I bought 12 of the stuffed chickens and a couple stuffed pork tenderloin. Last night we had a party with 19 of our Canadian friends and I cooked 5 of the chickens. Everyone LOVED them. The party was a hit and most of all the chickens were a huge favorite. La Boucherie rocks ! Thank You for all the help you gave me when I was in your shop.

They sold me a $10 styrofoam box to transport my 30 pounds of goodies that I was told by Southwest Airlines I could not use, I ended up buying another $10 box so I could bring the frozen food home.
I’ve always heard how good a Turducken is so I bought one in a roll form for Thanksgiving. What a disappointment!!! I love turkey, i love duck, and I love chicken but this was not good at all. I’m guessing that they use the duck breast which was so dry & gamey when it was done. I feed the duck to the dog which ate it of course, but got sick. I will try the Turporken next time.
The Boudin balls were just ok, the seasoning was good but the texture was not so good.
The jalepeno dressing was to die for.
I’m still waiting to eat the rest: Tasso, chicken apple sausage, crawfish pie, Andouille sausage, dirty rice mix, and crawfish etoufee. I will update this as we try the items.

Recently bemoaning the fact, I promised I’d get her a great Texan steak when I next visited. And so recently on our way home from the airport after I landed, we headed to the La Boucherie butcher on FM1960 @ the intersection of TC Jester. Well, I’ve just finished one FINE prime ribeye steak. Texas has it, you just have to go find it ?
Next time I may try their Tur-Duc-Hen, creamed spinach and some other stuff which looked interesting.

We bantered a bit about how to properly cook and season steaks (hint: it doesn’t involve marinade or much more than salt & pepper) like these.
They offered me a price sheet to take with me for the items they sell and offered for me to call ahead when I was looking for something to see what they had in stock or see what they could get for me.
Very nice custom butcher with a great product and a true service approach! The steaks aren’t cheap, but you get what you pay for… if you appreciate great cuts and know how to prepare them this is a must-go place!
They also carry a lot of custom sides and items aside from the steaks, so feel free to check them out or their website and see what else they offer!
Update: After cooking the steaks tonight… I’m even more in love than I already was. These are the real deal, they melted in our mouths like butter… there really is no comparison.

However, my husband and I have been picking up their stellar crawfish pies and stuffed chickens for about seven years. We rave to all of our friends and recommend keeping their crawfish pies on hand in the freezer for an easy, amazing, and no-fuss dinner at home. This item is our go-to for as long as I can remember for several occasions:
– Stressful day at work but the couch sounds better than margaritas at our favorite Mexican joint
– Saturday night, no babysitter, send the kids up to the game room for a rented kid friendly movie while the adults have a downstairs movie-date
– Drank too much the night before, and pizza and Chinese won’t cut it
…whatever the case may be, we’ll find an excuse to pop them in the oven…
And here we are, wishing we could take back the experience of the seafood gumbo. It’s like walking in on your significant other doing the unthinkable after 7 long years. 4 stars for remembering the good times….
